BFF NEW YORK 2010!!!

I have been heard that it has been really successful with BFF NEW YORK 2010!!!I wished I could be there with my friends and celebrate their 10th anniversary. However, I am the one who is in charge for art curating of TOKYO BFF 2010, so I have to do something mang!! for TOKYO and for JAPAN!!!!

PLUM RAINY SEASON

PLUM RAINY SEASON has not come yet, however it has been raining all over Japan and seems never stop for a while.
I was going to update my blog more often, since I have so many things to tell you how was my SF trip and NYC trip.

I will chill out tonight, probably... dunno yet, but I will try to update some of the pics ive got.

Bike Film Festival 2010

about BFF

Brendt Barbur, Founding Festival Director, was compelled to start the Bicycle Film Festival when he was hit by a bus while riding his bike in New York City. He insisted on turning his negative experience into a positive one. In 2001 Barbur started the Bicycle Film Festival as a platform to celebrate the bicycle through music, art and, of course, film.

The Bicycle Film Festival has been a major catalyst for the urban bike movement, one of the most powerful and culturally relevant forces of the last decade. The BFF is sure to carry this momentum into the next decade.

and it has been 10 years since NYC started having a BFF. I think this is also a time to recognize more about this culture in JAPAN. It should be a nationwide to look at what we are doing.

I, yoshi47, became a ART DIRECTOR & CURATOR for BFF TOKYO.

I really think I need to change something in JAPAN by bicycle.

Days in San Francisco

Days in SF. I went to 47th ave in Sunset district. I actually went to Ocean ave to see the ocean. haha. it was beautiful though. There are lots of surfers on the shore and also in the sea like little bugs on a surface. Anyways, yeah before I went to pick up Fergus, I went thru 47th ave. I got stoked.

TRANSLATOR

Here is a tip for who i am sometimes instead of being ARTIST, or being BIKE MECHANIC... I sometimes work as a translator only if I want to. Here I am on LOOP MAGAZINE as a super little tiny translator. To tell you the truth, I was talking with Joey Krillz ( a leader of THE GRIME ) about his history a few weeks ago, like how he came up with THE GRIME idea on his mind, and I told him that I am able to translate his idea into Japanese, and people here in Japan might understand how he lives and how THE GRIME comes up on the street. Funny thing is, I was talking with TAK at that time, I think it was a late at night and he was still working on his job to finish up the layout of Loop magazine and I bet he was really exhausted and I thought that my translation could help him out... then I was going to, but before that, he told me just before i was going to send an e-mail, he was like, "Am I able to use your translation?". I was laughing so much. I said, "Why not my asian bro." Anyways, yeah, I am really honored to be on his job and feel great. Thanks TAK, Thanks THE GRIME, Ed, Mike, and Joey.

Joey Krillz says, “yo is that your wheel?”

My friend, Joey Krillz, from Brooklyn caught this stupid bike wheel thief on his neighborhood. It reminds of me "Don't steal bikes bro" by Victor.
It is very funny, but we never let them go man. They are bad people. They are worse than us. I mean, we are good people. : ) haha.

re-start

Hello everyone, I , yoshi47, have moved into a new blog crib since my life changed a little bit into a good situation and smells like I am going to explore the world again more than ever. If you would like to see my old blog, there is a category on a right side and you definitely see my history.

I finally came back from New York City and San Francisco. At this time, I met so many friends again and I feel very appreciated, and also I met my girlfriend since we had not met face to face each other for almost a year. We had fun a lot in Virginia, Washington D.C. and New York. I know I love her more than anything and I hope we are able to live together sooner or later. When I look back what we had been doing at that time, it seems to me that it was a dream or something....

After I came back to Japan, I realized and remembered who I was before when I was surviving in San Francisco as a courier. Thank you for all the people who helped me out and guided me to so many places that usually people are not able to. I am going to Update what happened there and since I re-started a new blog here, I would like to present my whole new concept and recent activities of my friends and of course me myself as yoshi47.
